'A Terrible Situation': Floodwater Swamps Streets of Tenbury Wells

Flood warnings remained in effect for the English town of Tenbury Wells in Worcestershire on Monday, February 17, after heavy rain from Storm Dennis hit over the weekend.

The BBC reported that about 130 homes in Tenbury Wells have been evacuated due to the deluge.

This footage, shared by local business Annabel’s Bazaar on Sunday, shows a street near the River Teme submerged in floodwater.

“The water level has dropped massively today and the town is now accessible on foot, with thick brown river silt and debris everywhere,” Annabel’s Bazaar told Storyful on Monday. “The major clear up has started – so many flooded homes and businesses – a terrible situation for so many people.”

Other areas of England, and south Wales, also experienced bad flooding from Storm Dennis. Credit: @annabelsbazaar via Storyful
