Thousands Still Without Power After Winter Storm Dumps Snow on Ohio

Thousands of Ohioans were still without power on Wednesday, December 2, after a winter storm dumped more than two feet of snow on some parts of the state a day earlier, local media reported.

The National Weather Service (NWS) said the Ohio townships of South Thompson and Concord saw more than 25 inches of snow from Tuesday’s storm.

Local media said the “heavy, wet” snow downed tree limbs and power lines, prompting outages for thousands. Electric company FirstEnergy reported more than 34,700 customers without power in Ohio as of Wednesday afternoon.

Eric Oswald said this video shows his snowy drive through the village of Chagrin Falls on Wednesday. Chagrin Falls received 19.9 inches of snow as of Tuesday night, according to NWS snow reports.
