Verizon beats earnings & revenue estimates

Yahoo Finance's Live panel discuss Verizon's lastest earnings.

Video transcript

AKIKO FUJITA: Let's turn our attention to one company that is moving into session. That is our parent company, Verizon. Down about 4/10 of a percent, even after it beat expectations on earnings and revenue. The company earned $1.31 a share on revenue of $33 billion, roughly, a 4% jump.

The company lost fewer postpaid wireless phone subscribers than expected. Wireless service revenue rose 2.4%. But one of the biggest growth areas for the company, its Verizon Media revenues. That was up 10.4% to nearly $2 billion, Zack.
