Vigil Held in London for Teacher Killed in Tullamore, Ireland

A vigil was held in London on Saturday, January 15, to remember 23-year-old teacher Ashling Murphy, who was attacked and killed while out jogging in Tullamore, Ireland, on Wednesday afternoon.

Footage by Eimear Falvey shows large crowds outside the London Irish Centre on Saturday. Other vigils were held across the UK and Ireland.

RTE News reported that police were carrying out searches in Tullamore and Dublin as part of the investigation into the murder of Ashling Murphy. Gardaí were also waiting to interview a person of interest in the case who was in hospital, reports said. Credit: Eimear Falvey via Storyful
