Winter Storm Blankets Albuquerque in Snow

Heavy snowfall and freezing conditions were reported in New Mexico on Tuesday, October 27, prompting road and non-essential work closures.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), roughly 12.5 inches of snow fell across Albuquerque, with snow forecast to continue across the eastern plains through Wednesday.

Local media reported non-essential services and city offices were closed on Tuesday amid the severe winter weather. Voting locations were to remain open, though travel was “highly discouraged,” the report said. Credit: @brittanyholiday via Storyful
