Woman Climbs on Tesla at Car Show Wearing T-Shirt With 'Brake Failure' Message

A woman climbed on top of a Tesla vehicle wearing a T-shirt saying “brake failure” and shouting a similar message at a car show in Shanghai, China, on April 19. Tesla said the woman had been involved in a speeding violation.

The woman stood on the car for some time while security personnel tried to talk her down. Other security personnel tried to use their hands and an umbrella to block people from recording.

In a statement, Tesla said the woman was involved in a “speeding violation that occurred in Anyang, Henan, in February.”
