BUZZ-CI Investments sharply cuts gold holdings in Q4 2016 -filing
NEW YORK, Feb 6 (Reuters) - CI Investments Inc, an investment manager of Toronto-based CI Financial Corp (Frankfurt: CF7.F - news) , reported for the fourth quarter (October-December) of 2016, on Monday:
* Cut shares in SPDF Gold Trust, the world's biggest gold exchange-traded fund (ETF), to 12,475 shares worth $1.37 million, from 62,719 shares worth $7.9 million at the end of September
* Dissolved shares in Barrick Gold Corp (Hanover: ABR.HA - news) , after holding 2.4 million shares worth $42.4 million at end-September
* Cut shares of option calls in Barrick to 28,700 worth $7.8 million from 105,125 shares worth $11.6 million at end-September
* Shares (Berlin: DI6.BE - news) in Randgold Resources at 59,500 vs 765,800 at end-September
