NORWAY GAS-Flows to Britain edge higher
* Norwegian gas exports total 349 mcm/day
* Flows to Britain up by 5 mcm/day
OSLO, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Norway's natural gas exports to
Britain increased on Thursday as deliveries via the Vesterled
pipeline edged higher, data from gas system operator Gassco
showed.
Flows to Europe's biggest traded gas market were up by 6
million cubic metres (mcm) per day by 0700 GMT, with deliveries
via the Vesterled pipeline rising to 17 mcm/day.
Supplies via the pipeline to the St Fergus terminal in
Britain had dropped to zero on Tuesday due to several outages at
the Oseberg and the Heimdal fields.
Both outages were over by Thursday morning, but flows from
the Sleipner field were still reduced by 4.5 mcm/day, likely due
to a shutdown of adjunct Gudrun field, tied to Sleipner.
Norway's total pipeline gas flows were running at a rate of
350 mcm/day compared with this winter's daily maximum of 357 mcm
hit on Feb. 12.
The following table shows Norwegian pipeline gas flows,
measured in mcm/day, compared with the previous session's
average:
Destination Real time Pvs business Change
day (mcm)
Britain 112 107 5
Germany & Netherlands 138 136 2
France 55 54 1
Belgium 44 44 0
Total (Swiss: FP.SW - news) 349 341 8
NOTE: Real-time gas export figures are based on gas fed into the
system at a certain time and calculated as a daily average.
Levels can vary throughout the day as producers adjust the
amount of gas they export, according to changing nominations, or
orders, from customers.
Volumes for the previous business show delivered gas.
