NORWAY GAS-Flows rise to Britain, fall to Germany
* Norwegian gas exports total 343 mcm/day
* Flows to Britain up by 9 mcm/day
OSLO, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Norway's natural gas exports to
Europe were broadly steady on Friday from the previous day,
while some gas was rerouted from Germany to Britain, where
temperatures were predicted to fall below normal.
Supplies to Britain, Europe's biggest traded gas market were
up by 9 million cubic metres (mcm) per day by 0745 GMT, mainly
due to higher flows via the Langeled pipeline, data from gas
system operator Gassco showed.
Norway's total pipeline gas flows were running at a rate of
343 mcm/day compared with this winter's daily maximum of 357 mcm
hit on Feb. 12.
The following table shows Norwegian pipeline gas flows,
measured in mcm/day, compared with the previous session's
average:
Destination Real time Pvs business Change
day (mcm)
Britain 115 106 9
Germany & Netherlands 131 137 -6
France 54 55 -1
Belgium 43 43 0
Total (Swiss: FP.SW - news) 343 341 2
NOTE: Real-time gas export figures are based on gas fed into the
system at a certain time and calculated as a daily average.
Levels can vary throughout the day as producers adjust the
amount of gas they export, according to changing nominations, or
orders, from customers.
