In statements to Reuters, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile US said they were working to resolve the issue but did not provide details on the extent of the outage or the services partner responsible for it. However, a person familiar with the matter said it was due to a glitch at Syniverse, a telecom services firm that works with global carriers to support international roaming. In a response to Reuters, Syniverse said its systems were facing "intermittent connectivity issues" and was working with its network partners to fix the problem.

Marketing and sales software giant HubSpot said on Friday that it’s investigating a cybersecurity incident. On Friday, rumors of some kind of cyberattack against HubSpot began circulating on social media. When reached by TechCrunch on Friday, HubSpot's chief information security officer Alyssa Robinson said in a statement that the company “identified a security incident that involved bad actors targeting a limited number of HubSpot customers and attempting to gain unauthorized access to their accounts.”

Apple stock will continue to rise as the company’s generative artificial intelligence products, set to launch this fall, lead to an acceleration of growth in revenue and earnings, an Oppenheimer analyst says. Analyst Martin Yang increased his price target for Apple to $250 from $200, which implies a 21% increase from the stock’s closing price of $214.10 on Thursday. Yang wrote on Friday that he expects the stock to rise based on optimism over the company’s AI initiatives and how they are geared toward the consumer experience.

Ten big banks settle US interest rate swaps rigging litigation
Ten large banks including Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase will pay $46 million to settle a long-running antitrust lawsuit accusing them of conspiring to rig the now $465.9 trillion market for interest rate swaps. Lawyers for investors filed a preliminary settlement to end the eight-year-old nationwide case on Thursday in Manhattan federal court. The settlement requires approval by U.S. District Judge Paul Oetken, and boosts the value of all settlements in the case to $71 million.

Aircraft delivery delays having 'brutal' impact on Lufthansa, says CEO
Speaking at the business press club in Stuttgart late Thursday, Spohr said the aircraft shortage could be costing Lufthansa some 500 million euros ($535.00 million) a year, although he did not provide an exact figure. Lufthansa has ordered 250 new aircraft from Airbus and Boeing to modernize its fleet, with deliveries scheduled between 2024 and 2029. However, "no plane arrives on time," said Spohr, adding that around 100 of Lufthansa's 750 aircraft were grounded either for maintenance reasons or because they had been decommissioned.
