ATTRAQT Group (LON:ATQT) Shareholders Have Enjoyed A 43% Share Price Gain

These days it's easy to simply buy an index fund, and your returns should (roughly) match the market. But investors can boost returns by picking market-beating companies to own shares in. To wit, the ATTRAQT Group plc (LON:ATQT) share price is 43% higher than it was a year ago, much better than the market return of around 6.5% (not including dividends) in the same period. If it can keep that out-performance up over the long term, investors will do very well! Zooming out, the stock is actually down 18% in the last three years.

ATTRAQT Group wasn't profitable in the last twelve months, it is unlikely we'll see a strong correlation between its share price and its earnings per share (EPS). Arguably revenue is our next best option. Shareholders of unprofitable companies usually expect strong revenue growth. That's because fast revenue growth can be easily extrapolated to forecast profits, often of considerable size.

In the last year ATTRAQT Group saw its revenue grow by 7.5%. That's not a very high growth rate considering it doesn't make profits. The modest growth is probably largely reflected in the share price, which is up 43%. That's not a standout result, but it is solid - much like the level of revenue growth. It could be worth keeping an eye on this one, especially if growth accelerates.

A Different Perspective

It's good to see that ATTRAQT Group has rewarded shareholders with a total shareholder return of 43% in the last twelve months. That certainly beats the loss of about 7.7% per year over the last half decade. The long term loss makes us cautious, but the short term TSR gain certainly hints at a brighter future. I find it very interesting to look at share price over the long term as a proxy for business performance. But to truly gain insight, we need to consider other information, too. Be aware that ATTRAQT Group is showing 4 warning signs in our investment analysis , and 1 of those shouldn't be ignored...
