There’s a great bunch of money-saving deals and discounts for you to grab this week, including cutting down food waste with bargain meals, free cinema tickets, and half-price concerts.

But remember, a bargain is only a good deal if you were planning to splash out on it anyway.

Win free cinema tickets

You can get free cinema tickets by filling in your details at the Rollover Hotdgog Facebook page. There are two free Cineworld tickets available to winners here.

Kids ride free on Capital’s river

If you like bargain meals and are fed up with food waste, then the Too Good To Go app is for you.

It allows you to pick up freshly-prepared food from local cafes and restaurants that would otherwise be thrown away. And you can buy the tasty takeaway boxes for bargain prices, from as little as £2.

They’re offered after breakfast, lunch or dinner services are finished. That means you could pick up a box of sandwiches or pastries mid-afternoon, or an indian meal from around 10pm.

You’ll also need to go to the cafes and restaurants to pick up your takeaway box which you can book through the app often hours earlier.

The app is available for both Apple and Android at your app store. You can find out more about the social enterprise at toogoodtogo.co.uk

Cheap flights

Troubled budget airline Ryanair is trying to attract customers back with flight offers from as little as £4.99 in its New Year, New Me promotion.

Check out prices here, but if you move quickly you could return flights to Gdansk or Marseille for under £20!

Tip of the week

If you’re booking a holiday, be aware of all your rights, says Helen Dewdney, The Complaining Cow.

“For example, if you feel that you have made a purchasing decision that you wouldn’t have made had you been given accurate information (such as a misleading price) you may be able to claim a refund under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.

“There is also the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tour Regulations 1992 of which you should be aware.

“These give you lots of rights regarding any changes that the company may make, among other things!”
