It takes a lot of work to find the perfect cookie recipe, but The Cookie Society has put in the work to create a load of them. Luckily, the Black-owned gourmet bake shop — located in Frisco, Texas — delivers it cookies nationwide so you can try them for yourself.

The Cookie Society uses real butter and high quality ingredients to give its cookies a rich flavor, crispy outer and soft, chewy center. Plus, these cookies are big!

According to the bake shop’s website, it all started with the a classic chocolate chip cookie. Marissa and Jeff Allen, wife and husband co-owners of The Cookie Society, started baking after a trip to New York City led them to a famous bakery with a famous cookie. When they got home, Marissa worked on her own “ultimate cookie” recipe for months. She wanted one that had “crispy edges” and a “chewy and tender center.”

After a while, she had developed over 70 recipes and started giving her cookies to her husband’s teammates. (Jeff is a retired NFL player who played for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans.) Soon, the team started placing orders, and Marissa and Jeff turned the passion into a business.

If you want to try The Cookie Society, the bake shop has a couple options for shipping: a Classic Sampler, The Dozen and a pack of the month’s favorite flavors.

The Classic Sampler includes six of its most popular cookie flavors, including the famous chocolate chip and banana pudding cookies, as well as a cookies-and-cream, oatmeal raisin, salted caramel and sugar cookie. You’ll get one of each flavor.

The cookie flavors may vary based on the month or season. However, all of The Cookie Society’s cookies weigh 4 ounces each, which is nearly twice the size of the average cookie.

As the website reads, “Everything’s bigger in Texas — and our cookies are no exception.”
