** Stock dives 27 pct, wiping $495 mln off co's market value

** Now (NYSE: DNOW - news) trading about 28 pct below its 285p float price

** Co, which cuts FY earnings outlook, says apparent some of the revenue growth in H2 2014 going into FY15 down to extra publicity around its IPO

** IPO raised 423 mln pounds at the top of its price range, for a 1.2 bln pound market cap amid a rush by stocks to list which stirred memories of tech bubble

** Co had been richly valued compared to peers
