BUZZ-Lufthansa not interested in used A380s - CEO

** Lufthansa is not interested in taking second-hand A380s, chief executive Carsten Spohr says, after IAG CEO Willie Walsh said earlier this week the group would look at leasing the used super jumbos for British Airways

** Lufthansa continues to prefer new planes for the group and does not need any more widebodies other than those it already has on order, Spohr says on the sidelines of an EU aviation summit in the Netherlands

** Lufthansa is expecting delivery of a record 52 new planes this year, and Spohr says its own cash flow will be able to finance the necessary investment this year, meaning the company will not need to use leases

** "Lufthansa has a credit rating and we can get cheaper financing than via leasing," he says. "With (Other OTC: WWTH - news) our financial stability, it's better to buy." (RM (LSE: RM.L - news) : victoria.bryan.thomsonreuters.com@reuters.net)
