BUZZ-Online ad firm Trade Desk surges in debut

** Strong debut from The Trade Desk, an online advertising platform, keeps recent IPO momentum rolling

** Stock opens 60 pct above issue and climbs to $29.47 high, valuing co at about $1.1 bln

** Offers 4.7 mln shares at $18, top of upwardly revised range

** Bookrunners say deal was 20x subscribed with 300 institutional orders. Top 10 accounts were allocated half the offering's shares, and top 25 took down 75 pct; two-thirds of accounts were blanked

** At end of 2015, Trade Desk had 389 clients, primarily advertising agencies, with Omnicom Group (Frankfurt: 871706 - news) and WPP PLC (Frankfurt: A1J2BZ - news) each representing over 10 pct of gross billings

** Trade Desk's successful listing comes amid a revival of tech IPOs; safety communications co Everbridge Inc delivered strong returns after its IPO last week

** Though 2016 deal flow down slightly more than half yr/yr, IPO activity continues to ramp; 6 offerings still scheduled this week, including Valvoline ($645 mln) and Swiss biotech AC Immune ($55 mln)

** And enterprise software firm Nutanix Inc appears to be marquee name among 4 co's on next week's docket
