BUZZ-Provident Financial: returning to normal

** Co says recovery plans will deliver 2018 results in line with internal plans while its Vanquis bank unit reports profits ahead of earlier forecasts

** PFG's shares have fallen 67 pct since profit warning in June 2017, when co cited a shortage of debt collectors

** In Aug 2017, PFG issued a second profit warning that prompted the departure of CEO Peter Crook and suspension of its dividend

** Peel Hunt: "Today's statement highlights that Provident is making progress with returning the business to some sort of normality.. There is still more to do on the Home Credit side but the indications are encouraging"
