BUZZ-SSE: UK scraps onshore wind subsidies a year early

** Britain to end all new subsidies for onshore wind farms from April next yr when it closes a renewable support scheme, Department of Energy & Climate Change says

** Under scheme, onshore wind projects built before March 2017 would have automatically received funding but it will now close a yr early

** Jefferies flags that of the UK utilities, SSE (LSE: SSE.L - news) has invested significantly in onshore wind

** Co previously stated it was well placed to add additional capacity prior to estimated deadline in 2017, but broker says unlikely SSE will be able to complete all of its proposed capacity by earlier 2016 deadline

** On plus side, CMA will shortly announce preliminary findings to a yr-long investigation expected to clear Big Six energy groups dominating UK gas & electricity supply of accusations of market abuse, FT reports
