U.S. stocks climbed on Tuesday after two straight declining sessions, with index futures jumping after a report of a proposal for a 6-month debt extension for Greece as negotiations continued. Dow Jones industrial average e-mini futures were up 0.50 percent at 17,770, S&P 500 futures were up 0.51 percent at 2,053 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.53 percent at 4,236.75.

The world's largest beverage maker reported a better-than-expected profit as sales in North America, its biggest market, rose for the first time in four quarters, offsetting the impact of a stronger dollar on its overseas business.
