Chase Young ruled out in Week 3 with groin injury
The No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft might miss some time soon.
Washington Football Team defensive lineman Chase Young left Sunday’s 34-20 defeat against the Cleveland Browns due to a groin injury. While the extent of the injury isn’t known, Young was ruled out of the contest almost immediately.

The 21-year-old was later spotted walking in street clothes on the sideline. He appeared to be limping.
Chase Young has returned to the bench in shorts and a t shirt. A trainer wrapped Young's right thigh with ice. Now Young is limping on the sideline but still standing on edge of field next to Ron Rivera.

Chase Young was already making a huge impact in Washington
While Young has played only two games with Washington, he already emerged as one of the team’s best defenders. He racked up 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble this season. Young did not record any stats before leaving Sunday’s game.
Given Young’s ability, losing him for an extended period could make Washington’s quest to earn a postseason berth even tougher. The team will have to hope Young can return to action soon, because the defense won’t be the same without him.
