Christian Pulisic believes Chelsea can still finish in the top four this season — and even win the Champions League.

After three wins from three, 10th-place Chelsea had to settle for a 2-2 draw with Everton in the Premier League on Saturday which left them 11 points off fourth with 11 games to go.

Graham Potter’s side recently went on a bleak run of four wins from 21 matches, yet Pulisic believes a top-four finish is still attainable.

“Absolutely, we are a confident team,” he said when asked whether it was possible. “We know we have good enough players to do some damage in that competition and we need to focus on the Prem and still fight to get in that top four.

Chelsea were handed a nightmare quarter-final draw in this season’s Champions League on Friday when they were pitted against defending champions Real Madrid.

The Blues knocked Real out in the semi-finals on the way to lifting the trophy in 2021, but the Spanish giants exacted revenge last year with a 5-4 aggregate win in the last eight.

“It seems like we have played them every year I have been here so we are excited,” Pulisic reflected. “We have beaten them in the past and are ready for the challenge.”

Speaking about last season’s meeting, Pulisic added: “It could have gone either way but, for sure, we want some payback and to hopefully beat them. You have to beat some good teams if you want to win the Champions League, so we are ready for it.”
