City Moves for 15 April 2014 | Who’s switching jobs

Mount Anvil
The property developer has appointed Jon Hall as sales and marketing director. He joins from Berkeley Homes, where he has been a sales and marketing director since 2011. Hall has also held roles at St Modwen Properties.

PwC
Ian Oakley-Smith has been appointed head of PwC’s charity sector team in the UK. He has over 15 years’ experience in the sector, and currently leads the firm’s five year collaboration with the Charity Finance Group and Institute of Fundraising. Oakley-Smith has previously worked as an interim manager for the Charity Commission.

DAC Beachcroft
The law firm has appointed David Gillard as group finance director. He was most recently group finance director at Oxford University Press, and Gillard has also held roles at Diageo, BAA, and McVitie’s.

Chase de Vere
The firm of independent financial advisers has appointed Samuel Mayes as a senior technical adviser. He focuses on advising private banking and high net worth clients, and was most recently a client portfolio planner at NatWest Private Bank. Mayes is a chartered financial planner and a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Bird & Bird
The law firm has promoted 11 new partners. In its London office, Elizabeth Belsey specialises in public-private partnership projects, James Froud advises on domestic and cross-border employment issues, Tom Snaith focuses on intellectual property matters, and Garreth Wong works on international arbitration and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Maples Teesdale
The real estate law firm has appointed two new partners. Abigail Roebuck joins from Lawrence Graham. She focuses on property finance, and has worked on secondment to JP Morgan, HSBC and Nationwide Building Society. Michael Kilner becomes head of Maples Teesdale’s litigation team.

Fujitsu
Simon Carter has been appointed to the information and communication technology company’s UK executive team. Currently marketing director for UK and Ireland, he has previously worked for NatWest, EDF, Virgin, Post Office, and Thomas Cook.
