Create this pretty paper heart wall hanging decoration in 6 easy steps
Staying in for Valentine's Day? Add a personal, romantic touch with this simple DIY love heart wall hanging, crafted from recycled wallpaper.
Create the look in just six easy steps:
1: Gather together your leftover wallpaper. Here, we've used Photowall's Summer Memories collection by Plingsulli (a couple of rolls will do just fine). You'll also need a pair of scissors, some string and glue.
2: Draw different sized love hearts on the reverse side of the wallpaper design. Make sure you also draw a 1cm line down the middle of the heart, coming from the top. This will be how you make your hangings 3D.
Tip: Try to draw your hearts close together to minimise paper wastage.
3: Cut out your designs individually. Then create a slit by cutting down the small line you made, starting at the top of the heart.
4: Roll the inner edges of the two arcs together, then add a small amount of glue and pinch together.
5: Hold for a few seconds to allow the glue to set before letting go.
6: Push out the heart from the inside to give it a 3D effect, then hang away!
