Door-maker Safestyle UK flags wider annual loss on demand headwinds

(Reuters) - Safestyle UK, the maker of poly vinyl chloride replacement windows and doors, on Tuesday forecast a wider annual loss as a prolonged cost-of-living squeeze and high interest rates weighed on activity in the housing sector.

The Bradford, UK-based company said it now expected fiscal year 2023 underlying loss between 9.5 million pounds and 10.5 million pounds ($11.8 million and $13 million), compared with a loss of 4.4 million pounds reported a year earlier.
