ECB's de Guindos: too early to talk about interest rate cut

BERLIN, Dec 21 (Reuters) - It is too early to talk about a cut in interest rates, European Central Bank Vice-President Luis de Guindos said in a media interview published on the central bank's website on Thursday.

"Once we see inflation is clearly converging in a stable manner to our target of 2%, monetary policy might then start to ease. But it's still too early for that to happen," de Guindos told Spanish newspaper 20 Minutos. (Reporting by Rachel More; Editing by Alison Williams)
