Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Cracks fall in thin trade ahead of OPEC meeting

LONDON, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Gasoline refining margins slipped on Tuesday in quiet trade as benchmark product prices slumped, following crude oil futures, on doubts that OPEC could hammer out an output cut deal at its long-anticipated meeting on Wednesday.

* Dutch FNV trade union said industrial action at Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) 's 404,000 bpd Pernis refinery will continue this week. FNV said workers were stopping the start-up of a residual conversion unit at the refinery.

* Low water levels along the Rhine river once again limited barge activity from inland markets in Germany and Switzerland to the ARA hub, traders said.

* Valero plans to keep the 57,000 bpd hydrocracking unit at its 335,000 bpd Port Arthur, Texas, refinery shut for about two weeks for repairs and catalyst cleaning, sources familiar with plant operations said.

* Iran and Iraq are resisting pressure from Saudi Arabia to curtail oil production, making it hard for OPEC to reach a deal to limit output and boost the price of crude when it meets on Wednesday.

* Kenya's oil importers are seeking more than 410,000 tonnes of oil products for January to early February delivery, including 149,093 tonnes of gasoline, in a tender closing Dec. 1, trade sources said.

* Colombia's Ecopetrol (NYSE: EC - news) seeks a 195,000-200,000 barrel cargo of gasoline RON 92 for December delivery. Bids will be accepted until Nov. 30, indexed to unleaded 87 gasoline prices at the U.S. Gulf Coast.

GASOLINE

* Gunvor sold to Shell a barge of benchmark Eurobob gasoline at $445 a tonne fob ARA in the afternoon window compared to $459 a tonne on Monday.

* Elsewhere during the day, Gunvor and Total (LSE: 524773.L - news) sold three barges to Finco, Varo and BP at a $2 to $3 discount a tonne fob AAR (NYSE: AIR - news) to the December swap.

* The December swap stood at $453 a tonne fob ARA at the close compared to $468 a tonne in the previous session.

* There were no trades of premium unleaded gasoline barges but bid and offer discussions emerged at $457 to 461 a tonne fob ARA compared to $471-472 a tonne in the previous session.

* Gasoline barge refining margins fell to $8.145 a barrel from $8.32 a barrel previously.

* U.S. December RBOB gasoline futures were trading 2.1 percent lower at $1.3835 a gallon by 1705 GMT.

* The U.S. gasoline crack (RBC1-CLC1) traded at $12.70 a barrel, a touch up from $12.23 a barrel on Monday.

NAPHTHA (NAF-C-NWE)

* Gunvor sold to BP a cargo of Naphtha at $412.50 cif NWE a tonne.
