The touching post was Welch’s first on Instagram in several weeks.
The star – lead singer with Florence And The Machine – has previously been open about addiction.
Talking about her old ways during an interview with Vogue in 2019, she said: “Partying was, I felt, a defining feature of my personality – good at singing, good at drinking and good at taking drugs. (Note: if you think you are good at taking lots of drugs, it usually means you are not good at it and will have to stop eventually, or worse.)”

Welch said she got sober not long after her 27th birthday bash “where my mother made a speech – a plea, really – to my friends to try to keep me alive and out of the notorious ‘27 club’.”
Friends and fans penned messages of congratulations after Welch shared her milestone, with singer Kate Nash posting a heart emoji and writer Yrsa Daley-Ward calling the singer “a beacon of light”.
“Florence you always continue to inspire!” said model and singer Karen Elson.
