Former WWE champ Alberto Del Rio was indicted on kidnapping and sexual assault charges Friday, according to News 4 San Antonio.

Del Rio — whose real name is Jose Rodriguez Chucuan — was indicted by a grand jury on one count of kidnapping and four counts of sexual assault. He was arrested in May after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman. Del Rio was released on bond following the arrest.

Del Rio is accused of sexual assault as well as threatening the victim. He allegedly told the victim he would take her son and “drop him in the middle of the road somewhere.”

Alberto Del Rio won World Heavyweight title in 2013

Del Rio joined WWE in 2009 and worked his way up the ranks, eventually becoming the first Mexican-born WWE champion. Del Rio briefly left the company in 2014, but returned in 2015. Del Rio left WWE again in 2016 and joined Impact Wrestling until 2018.
