Ghana inflation to exceed upper limit of target band: c.bank
ACCRA (Reuters) - Ghana's inflation will likely exceed the 11 percent upper limit of the central bank's 2013 target range but will probably fall back within the band in the first half of 2014, the bank's Governor Henry Kofi Wampah said on Wednesday. Ghana's 2013 inflation target is 9 percent and the band stands at 2 percent above or below that figure. The fast growing economy, which exports gold, cocoa and oil, has come under criticism for macro-economic instability after it overshot its budget deficit in 2012.
