What is the ‘Hello My Name Is’ song on TikTok?

A corny song about anxiety has TikTok cringing with delight. The “Hello My Name Is” trend is all about parody.

It all started when singer Kyle Hume posted a song about anxiety called “Hello My Name Is.” People felt it was reductive or that it was just plain bad. Naturally, this led to many roasting the tune and coming up with their own funny versions.

Hume posted a brief performance of the song on Dec. 12, 2022.

“So I had this idea for a song from the perspective of anxiety. Check this out,” Hume said.

Then he sang: “Hello my name is, ruining your day with, overcomplicating every little thing that you do. Hello and goodbye, to all of your good vibes, you gave it a good try, never thought we’d be introduced.”

The song annoyed TikToker @theneedletok to the point of speechlessness.

Hello My Name Is” song parodies

To highlight how insensitive the original was, user @curlydaddy101 created a version from the perspective of a soldier with PTSD.

If toilet humor is your style, then you’ll love @bingethemcringe’s song from the perspective of IBS.

“So I had this idea for a song from the perspective of short-term memory loss,” @ethanp0iss0n joked in a video. “So I had this idea for a song from the perspective —.”
