The Old Court in Temple Cloud, Bristol, has a fascinating and rich history – it was once a magistrates' court and police station.
The Grade II listed property was built in 1857 but has been transformed into a unique and stylish eight-bedroom family home, and it's now for sale.
Some of the best remnants of the property's past are still very much present. The magistrates' courtroom is still fully intact, and the building has kept the original jail cells with vaulted brick ceilings and hatches to feed the prisoners, and the small stone staircase which the convicts used to emerge via a trapdoor in the floor remains too.
The impressive baronial courtroom is almost 40 ft long with vaulted ceilings. The Victorian Gothic style house has also retained the Judges' Master Suite, which now comes with a Jacuzzi and sauna room.
