Yahoo Finance Holly Willoughby posts throwback photo with lookalike mum to celebrate Mother's Day
Like millions, Holly Willoughby is spending Mother's Day without her mum Linda for a second year due to coronavirus restrictions.
The TV star, 40, has instead marked the occasion virtually by sharing a throwback Christmas Day photo of the pair with her seven million fans on Instagram.
Captioning the sweet snap, the This Morning host wrote: "There she is... the best part of me... I just want to be in my pyjamas, eating your food, in your house...
"Can’t wait to be close to you... we all need a cuddle from our mums... love you soooo much mumma... happy Mother’s Day you beautiful miracle."
The post has received more than 64,000 'likes', with many followers telling her how much they had also missed seeing close family members during the pandemic.
Last year, the presenter – who has three children, son Harry, 11, daughter Belle, nine, and son Chester, six, with husband Dan Baldwin – also shared a Mother's Day tribute to her 73-year-old mum on Instagram.
On that occasion, she wrote: "I miss this face... mama I Love you... Happy Mother’s Day... can’t wait to give you a huge squeeze... will just have to wait until its safe... see you on FaceTime."
Many social media users commented about the close physical resemblance between the pair.
Last month, Willoughby revealed that her mother had received a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, and told This Morning viewers that she felt "relieved".
Shortly afterwards, the star celebrated turning 40 by wearing a floral dress that her mum wore on her own 40th birthday.
Captioning a post on Instagram, she wrote: "This photo of my mum was taken on her 40th birthday at the party she had in the garden. I remember this day so clearly.
"It’s a strange thing to reach the age you remember your mum being!... I asked her if she’d kept the dress and of course she had...
"Strange moment zipping it up this morning, wondering how she felt on her big day...
"I can’t be with my Mum or Dad today but wearing this in her honour makes me feel closer to them... love you Mumma!"
Commenting on the side-by-side pictures, fellow presenter Rochelle Humes wrote: "This is incredible."
Former Celebrity Juice co-star Fearne Cotton added: "That's so lovely."
