Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Rhiannon Clements has explained why Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward) is Summer Ranger's number one target.

After discovering Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) and Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) were responsible for the death of her father, while Brody was with them at the time of their attack, Summer (Clements) tried to shoot Brody with Grace Black's hidden gun but ended up shooting Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) instead.

With revenge still on her mind, Summer is set to continue her quest for vengeance by targeting Brody once again.

And, speaking recently, Rhiannon explained why Summer is targeting Brody specifically with her revenge.

Revealing that Summer "feels the most attacked" by Brody, Rhiannon explained that the characters' history made Brody's involvement in her father's death "more personal".

She also revealed that Summer resents the fact that Brody "threw the first punch".

"With Brody, it's more personal because he has been with her and lied to her face and manipulated her, so she goes after him because it's an easy option for her, but also because she feels the most attacked by him," Rhiannon told The Mirror.

"He's the one who has done her the most dirty even though the three of them were in it together, he threw the first punch and was meant to be there for her but let her down."

The comments follow Rhiannon speaking to Digital Spy about the aftermath of Sienna's attack.

She said: "I think there is a massive element of regret, probably more than guilt. The feelings of what initiated Summer to do what she did, are still there. It just hasn't been exacted in the way that she wanted it to. Summer feels regret that things went as far as they did and that she didn't do what she wanted to do.

"Summer now tries to use the situation to the best of her ability. She tries to make the best of the situation and manipulate things again."

Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
