In 2016, the Apprentice candidates were treated to a 10-bedroom, 10,000 sq ft home in Hampstead that was on the market for £11.95 million.

Last year, the TV show downsized, housing the 16 competitors in an eight-bedroom Notting Hill home with around 6,400 sq ft, and this year they are in it again.

The double-fronted Victorian property is on Bassett Road, a stone's throw from Ladbroke Grove station. It is available to rent through Domus Nova for £28,167 per month, down from last year's sum of £29,033.

Zoopla estimates that its current value is £12.873 million, down from last year's sum of £13.137 million. It is much higher than the average price tag for a property on the street, which is £1,009,314. In the last year, prices have fallen in this area by around 4.55 per cent.

There are plenty of spaces for working on business plans and building (or destroying) relationships.

The five-floor house has a large reception room, a smoking room and a 700 sq ft, open-plan kitchen/diner (with a boardroom-esque kitchen table) on the ground floor. The bright and quirky interiors have been designed by award-winning Nicky Haslam.

The lower ground floor contains another kitchen, a small dining room, an en-suite bedroom and a large, bay-fronted family room with double doors leading to the south-facing garden.

The candidates will have to fight it out for the master bedroom, which takes up the entire first floor and has two dressing rooms, an en-suite bathroom and a private terrace overlooking the garden.

The other six bedrooms are on the second and third floors.

The 14th series of The Apprentice, which started on October 4 on BBC One, will see 16 candidates compete to land Lord Sugar's investment. This year's line up includes a contestant who claims Elon Musk is his role model, and another who sells milk made from nuts.
