Integrated Device Technology purchased, Sonos declines, Chili's president to resign

Here’s a look at some of the companies the Yahoo Finance team will be watching for you today.

There’s a big deal for American chipmaker Integrated Device Technology. It’s being purchased by Japanese company Renesas for $6.7B. Both companies are working to build the next generation of chips for the auto industry.

Speaker company Sonos is in the spotlight after posting a big drop in revenue last quarter. It was the company’s first earnings report since going public. Revenue slid 6% overall with fewer sales from home theater speakers. But wireless speaker sales climbed about 1%.

And there’s been a change at the top at Brinker International’s Chili’s restaurant chain. Its president is resigning. Kelli Valade has run the business for about two years and spent more than two-decades with the company. She left to join a restaurant industry consulting firm and called the decision to depart Chili’s “incredibly tough.”

We’re just one day away from Apple’s big reveal of its latest devices. There are lots of rumors, including a new super-sized iPhone costing more than $1,000. Apple may also reveal a bigger watch, new iPads and the long-awaited Airpower wireless charger. We’ll have full coverage of the Apple event here on Yahoo Finance.
