Italy's Meloni vows to correct EU ban on petrol and diesel cars

Italian PM Meloni and Hungarian PM Orban meet in Rome

ROME (Reuters) - Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Wednesday the government would work to correct the European Union ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2035, saying the decision made no sense.

Meloni was speaking in the lower house of parliament, the Chamber of Deputies, ahead of a EU summit in Brussels later this week.
