So here's a slice of modern nostalgia for you: Jennifer Lopez (who recently split from baseball player, Alex Rodriguez) and actor Ben Affleck have been pictured taking a luxury skiing holiday together... 17 years after calling off their engagement.

The pair have been photographed in a car together after landing back in LA, by the Daily Mail, who write that they spent some private time together at a resort in Montana where Ben is believed to own a chalet (it's also a spot that he's frequented in the past with ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel).

Ben was also photographed a couple of weeks back by Page Six leaving a white Escalade SUV belonging to Jennifer. While the former-maybe-possibly-current? flames weren't pictured together on that particular occasion, sources told the publication, "Security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house".

Is anyone else getting incredibly excited by this possible reunion? It's like the noughties all over again, folks!

When the pair initially started dating back in July 2002 (they met during the filming of the movie Gigli) they were promptly dubbed 'Bennifer' by the media and received a tonne of media attention. They announced their engagement just five months later, in November 2002.

However, the wedding (originally planned for September 2003) was postponed just days ahead of schedule and the couple released a statement saying it was due to the aforementioned excessive press interference.

"Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date," the statement read. "When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate 'decoy brides' at three different locations, we realized that something was awry."

Bennifer called things off a few months later in January 2004, with Jennifer later describing the break-up as "probably my first big heartbreak".

Whilst nothing about a reunion has actually been confirmed (but I mean, why else would you be hanging out at a private, boujee ski resort with your ex?), last month - as part of her InStyle cover - Ben had nothing but praise for his former fiancé.

"I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what she was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts," he said.

"She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I've come across in this business. She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I'm so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves."

We'll be keeping a close eye on how this one develops...
