Justin Bieber Called Out a Selena Gomez Fan Who Rallied Others to Bully Hailey

Justin Bieber is not about to let a hater bully his wife Hailey because she's not Justin's ex, Selena Gomez. Justin took to his Instagram Stories to share his disdain for those who pit Hailey against Gomez, and he says it's bullying videos like this that make it "extremely hard to choose the high road."

Justin shared a clip of the "Jelena" stan, which was posted to Instagram ahead of Hailey going live on the platform. The Gomez fan asked her followers to "bombard" the comments section of Hailey's live video with "Selena is better" and "Jelena" comments. "Go after her," the fan said. "Please, let's all go after her."

"This sad excuse of a human just encouraged people on video to literally go after my wife telling people to say that my previous relationship was better so on and so [forth]," Justin wrote in a text post published on his Instagram Story. "I just wanted to share this so that people get an idea of what we face on a day to day. It is extremely hard to choose the high road when I see people like this try and rally to gather people to bully the person I love the most in this world. It is not right."

He followed up, "After watching that I could easily let it steal my joy, but then I think about her life and how miserable she must be to want to spend her life trying to make others feel small. The lesson here is SHES THE ONE MISSING OUT."

"Life is fulfilling when you uplift and add value to people!" Justin wrote. "A life where you want to make others feel small will leave you with no friends and no real JOY."

He asked his supporters to lift he and Hailey up in prayer so that they can continue to put themselves out into the public and have the strength to continue taking the high road.

Hailey reposted Justin's sentiments, adding that she usually stays out of drama like this to "protect myself and my mental [health]." She continued, "But it has truly gotten to a level of anger and hate that is shockingly unhealthy and sad."

She wrote that she would never wish for someone to be treated the way she has been treated by Jelena stans, "and I will never condone this kind of hateful behavior. I want only to support, uplift, and encourage other women in this industry and wish them nothing but love and success and I wish for all of my followers and supporters to do the same."

Before signing off, Hailey wished the bully in the video "all the best," and hopes she finds "love, peace and happiness in this life."

The pitting of Hollywood exes against each other is an extremely tired trope that should have been put to rest back in the days of Angelina Jolie vs. Jennifer Aniston tabloid headlines. We have absolutely no say in who our favorite celebrities choose to date, love, marry, etc., because, believe it or not, they're people with their own thoughts and feelings, just like we are.

Keep this old saying in the forefront of your mind the next time you're about to publicly go off on a celebrity you have no personal ties to: If you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it at all.
