Yahoo Finance Kate Garraway has consultation for eye infection on 'GMB'
Kate Garraway had to have a consultation with TV doctor Hilary Jones as she hosted Good Morning Britain with an eye infection.
The presenter, 52, was struggling with a watery eye on the show and told viewers that she had an eye infection, assuring them: “It is nothing to do with the coronavirus.”
Dr Hilary Jones was on the programme and noted that Garraway’s eye looked very “sore”.

“Thank you Hills,” she said.
“I feel like we can’t divert your attention from anything than keeping the nation calm over coronavirus, but I might have a consultation with you later.”
The doctor advised that Garraway visit the website Conjunctivitis.com, quipping that it was “a sight for sore eyes”.
The presenter replied: “We don’t need a pandemic of Hilary’s jokes. That's the last thing we need at this stage.”

Later on, it was revealed that Garraway had a consultation with the doctor and that he had suggested some eye drops.

Elsewhere on the show, Garraway and co-host Ben Shephard chatted about the fact that they were recently at an awards show also attended by Prince Charles, who has since been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
Shephard told royal commentator Emily Andrew that they were at the Prince's Trust Awards alongside the royal on March 11, and that Garraway actually met him.
“We didn't shake hands, Emily, but we were very close,” Garraway chimed in.
However, Andrew said she thought that the pair would be in the clear as Prince Charles’ doctor believes that he was not infected prior to March 13.
