Yahoo Finance Kevin Hart Looks Shredded After Training With Navy SEALS for 'Borderlands'
Training hard has always been important to Kevin Hart. The 41-year-old comedian regularly posts clips of his "Hustle Hard" workouts on social media, and is a firm believer that there is "no better project than self-improvement." He even has his own fitness webseries on YouTube, What the Fit, where he tries out different sports and workouts—to varying levels of success—with his famous friends.
But he has been stepping up his fitness regime in a big way over the last year, in preparation for the hotly anticipated Borderlands movie, in which he is playing a soldier, officially making the transition from big screen funny guy to bona fide action hero.
In a shirtless photo which he shared on Instagram this week, Hart proudly showed off his buff physique—reportedly the result of training with Navy SEALs, among other things.
"Approaching the end of Borderlands & I gotta be honest....I am so blown away by the work that was done here in Budapest ....from top to bottom....our cast & crew & production team & studio were all A 1 on this project," he wrote. "This movie is going to be super special & unexpected. Stepping into the world of real action has been everything that I thought it would be plus so much more. Major thank you to everyone that helped me prepare for this role....from my navy seal friends to my weapon training to the hand to hand combat. It was all worth it..... The world is in for a treat with “Borderlands” MARK MY WORDS!!!!"
