Konnie Huq reveals she gave Charlie Brooker ultimatum before they married
Konnie Huq has told how she gave husband Charlie Brooker an ultimatum when he said he did not want to have children.
The couple have been married for ten years, but former Blue Peter star Huq has revealed their relationship almost didn’t happen after differing over the decision to have kids.
However, Huq, 45, has told how she always saw herself as a mother, and was forced to explain to Brooker that if he did not wish to have babies, she was “not really interested”.

The pair now have boys Covey, eight, and Huxley, six.
Speaking on the Lockdown Parenting Hell podcast, Huq opened up about the ultimatum.
She told hosts Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe: "He didn't want kids but he hadn't met the right person and all that changed. I said, 'I am not really interested unless I am going to have kids.
"And so... he obviously saw the gene pool that I possessed and thought 'it wouldn't be right!' I dunno, he just sort of changed his mind.
"I always wanted to be a mum. I always thought I'd have three. Two was just a nuclear family, so boring.
"Three is a dynasty, three is like a team and then I had two and I was like 'no way!' Two is company and three's a crowd."
Speaking about why their relationship works for them, Huq went on: “Me and Charlie yin and yang well.
"I always say I am really analogue and Charlie is really digital. My oldest is digital and my youngest is analogue.

"The eldest is like his dad... he likes tinkering around with gadgets. The younger one loves getting out there and being sociable. He is a classic boy.”
The couple married in Las Vegas in 2010 after they had been dating for nine months.
