Tonight’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! featured a shock double eviction for the second night running.

Jessica Plummer and Russell Watson were voted off the 20th season of the hit ITV reality series, just one day after Victoria Derbyshire and Beverley Callard headed home from Gwrych castle.

The episode saw Shane Richie and Callard undertake a short pub-themed quiz challenge, earning the campmates a trip to the “pub”.

Then, Giovanna Fletcher and Vernon Kay participated in the Cart-Astropy trial, in which Fletcher had to throw fish guts into a funnel around Kay’s head, which he would then deposit into containers.

Watson, the classical singer who was a late arrival to the series, said that he had “mixed emotions” about leaving the castle, describing his experience on the programme as “life-changing”.

Actor and singer Plummer also spoke to Ant and Dec about her sadness at departing the series.

“That castle’s been our home for what feels like forever, but it’s all gone so quickly,” she said.

“It’s been a very emotional rollercoaster,” added Plummer. “My main thing is I just never wanted to quit. I’m a bit of a scaredy cat, and I’m just really proud that I didn’t quit.”

Plummer and Watson also join West End star Ruthie Henshall, who was evicted during Sunday night’s (29 November) episode.

Paralympic champion Hollie Arnold was the first to leave the castle, however, after receiving the fewest votes on 27 November.

“I tried my best and loved every second of it,” Arnold said. “But my bra and knickers have to go in the bin.”

I’m a Celebrity continues at 9pm on Wednesday 2 December on ITV.
