Man turns heads with ‘brilliant’ trick to reserve potential parking spots

Man turns heads with ‘brilliant’ trick to reserve potential parking spots

On Feb. 6, Adam Selzer shared photos of frozen jeans — yes, you read that right — standing upright in various places in the West Ridge neighborhood of Chicago.

“Polar vortex fun: pants with nobody inside them!” Selzer tweeted. “Soak a pair, put outside. In about 20 minutes, you can form them to shape, and in another 20 they’re solid.”

Selzer also shared a photo of two pairs of pants standing in a no parking zone, potentially giving users an ingenious way of reserving a space.

Unsurprisingly, the images have become a hit on Twitter, where many people couldn’t help but take note of Selzer’s creativity.

“Brilliant!” one person simply tweeted in response.

“This is adorable and gave me a big laugh,” another added. “Thank you!”

“Very funny,” a third simply quipped.

In an interview with WBBM-TV, Selzer, a Chicago tour guide, revealed that he actually hasn’t tried reserving a parking spot by placing a pair of frozen jeans there — he’s only placed the jeans in random places so he can take photos. And that’s not all — the jokester also has bigger plans in store as long as the weather in Chicago is freezing.

“The one thing I tried this time that I haven’t before is I also froze a couple of shirts, so we’ll see if this works,” he said.
