MEDIA-Three Russian food retailers to tie up, form 3rd-largest player - Kommersant

* Shareholders of Dixy, Bristol and Red & White have agreed to merge the companies, creating the third-biggest Russian food retail company, Kommersant daily reports, citing a joint statement from the firms' owners
* Igor Kesayev and Sergey Katsiev, beneficiary owners of Dixy and Bristol, will own 51 percent of the joint company, while founder and owner of Red & White Sergey Studennikov will have 49 percent - Kommersant
* Kommersant cites the statement as saying: "In the course of the parity merger of the assets, monetary instruments will be used that allow for the equalization of assets"
* The combined company will be the third-largest food retailer in Russia, after X5 Retail Group and Magnit, Kommersant says.
