North Sea Crude-Ekofisk differential firms

LONDON, June 26 (Reuters) - The differential for Ekofisk firmed on Monday as the amount of crude in floating storage reduced slightly, though action on the key Forties grade was relatively muted.

* EnQuest (Frankfurt: 3EQ.F - news) has started oil production from the Kraken field in the North Sea, the latest addition to the ageing oil and gas basin that has enjoyed a revival despite a drop in crude prices. The field delivered its first oil on June 23 and is expected to produce 50,000 barrels per day at its peak.

* A little more than 6 million barrels of North Sea crude were in floating storage, down from close to 9 million barrels last week, Reuters ship-tracking data showed.
