You can now search and shop on eBay using images

It's now even easier to shop at eBay following the launch of a new image recognition tool.

E-commerce site eBay has announced Image Search, a new experience for shoppers in the UK to use pictures instead of words to search eBay's catalogue of 1.1 billion items, which in return will deliver matching items or a similar offering.

Thanks to artificial intelligence and machine learning, Image Search enables a new 'innovative way to shop', allowing you to find products at a click of a button on your mobile.

This is how it works

· See it – find something you like

· Snap it – take a photo of it on the eBay app

· Shop it - eBay will find items from sellers that match your search for you to buy.

As shoppers continue to use eBay Image Search, eBay will be able to surface even richer results and filters, from new, nearly new and used items.
