Piers Morgan slams Jim Davidson after comic says he's 'ashamed' to know him
Piers Morgan has hit back at Jim Davidson after the comedian laid into him in a foul-mouthed rant on Twitter.
Davidson, 67, lashed out at Morgan and his Good Morning Britain co-presenter Susanna Reid – who he called “Piers in a frock” – for their criticism of Boris Johnson and the way he has handled the coronavirus pandemic.
Addressing his followers in a video shared on the site, the comic said he’d had to leave the room while watching Morgan calling for Johnson to resign on GMB.

“Talk about opportunist, Piers Morgan-ist-isms calling for the Prime Minister to resign because we've reached 100,000 (deaths).
“They didn’t call for him to resign in last week when we reached 98,000.
“It's just why are people so mad about figures?
“We had 100,000 people die.
“No-one knew about this virus and Piers is saying, ‘What did the Prime Minister do?’”
“Piers, you make me so angry,” he continued.
Referring to his appearance on Morgan’s programme Life Stories, he said: “I am ashamed to have sat in front of you and told you my life story.
“You don’t deserve to listen to my life story. You don’t deserve to listen to anyone’s life story.
“Do you know why? Because you don’t f****** listen and now, you idiot, you just want to lay blame on the Prime Minister to make yourself look good.”
“Shame on the pair of you,” he went on, branding both Morgan and Reid “pathetic”.
“Piers I’m ashamed to even know you mate,” added the star, who also shared that a friend of his had died the night before.
The video quickly did the rounds on social media but Morgan did not take the barbs lying down.
Hi Jim,
Always good to hear your foul-mouthed, abusive, sexist, Boris-slathering views.
Sorry about your friend. https://t.co/652q0N5VRr— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 27, 2021
