Yahoo Finance Police appeal after boy, 9, attacked by dog while walking through Essex park

(Google Streetview)A nine-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after he was attacked by a dog while walking through an Essex park.
The child had been strolling with his family and their own dog through Langdon Hills at around 7.30pm on Friday when another dog approached them.
It acted aggressively towards the family's pet before attacking the boy when he tried to separate the two dogs, police said.
The nine-year-old was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, which have not been specified.
The aggressor was described as a black Staffordshire Bull Terrier-type dog with long legs.
It did not have a collar and was not accompanied by an owner.

Wikimedia CommonsEssex police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone who may know where the dog came from.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We understand that this incident will cause concerns within the community, but officers are in the area searching for the dog and speaking to as many people as possible to find out if they have any information which could help us with our investigation.”
