President & CEO Henri de Sauvage-Nolting Just Bought 12% More Shares In Cloetta AB (publ) (STO:CLA B)

Even if it's not a huge purchase, we think it was good to see that Henri de Sauvage-Nolting, the President & CEO of Cloetta AB (publ) (STO:CLA B) recently shelled out kr223k to buy stock, at kr22.30 per share. While we're hesitant to get too excited about a purchase of that size, we do note it increased their holding by a solid 12%.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Cloetta

The insider, Jacob Broberg, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for kr1.2m worth of shares at a price of kr29.55 each. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. The good news is that this large sale was at well above current price of kr22.58. So it may not tell us anything about how insiders feel about the current share price.

In the last twelve months insiders purchased 84.39k shares for kr2.4m. But they sold 44965 shares for kr1.3m. Overall, Cloetta insiders were net buyers during the last year. Does Cloetta Boast High Insider Ownership?

For a common shareholder, it is worth checking how many shares are held by company insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Insiders own 3.1% of Cloetta shares, worth about kr204m. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
