Princess Anne looked smart in a red double-breasted coat as she visited businesses and projects in Somerset.

During a trip round the county which included visiting Weston-Super-Mare and Yeovil, The Princess Royal met with various locals, including school children.

Her Royal Highness met with pupils and staff from Fairmead School “which caters for children and young people with additional learning needs."

In photographs of her trip shared on social media, Princess Anne can be seen with teaching staff receiving a photo frame from one of the students from the school.

A post on the official Royal Family Instagram page also explained that Princess Anne toured The Food Works, which is “a food and drink innovation centre used by businesses to test, develop and manufacture their products.”

Photos show the Princess Royal chatting to stall holders and staff at The Food Works and engaging with other members of the community.

The University Centre Weston has recently refurbished its Winter Gardens and the Princess Royal was present to officially announce its reopening.

Last week, Princess Anne joined her brother the Prince of Wales to present honours at Windsor Castle.

Included in the most recent ceremony was Dame Mary Berry, who received her Damehood for services to culinary arts from Prince Charles.

A smiling photograph of Dame Mary showing her medal was shared to the Queen’s official Instagram account with a sweet caption congratulating her on the landmark achievement.
